TRIP ITINERARY

DAY 1: HANOI – THON THA

There are several buses that you can take from Hanoi to Ha Giang, either day bus or night bus. The bus does not include in the package but we can help to arrange. You’ll then check-in to your homestay in nearby Thon Tha Village and have dinner/breakfast with your hosts. Please see more details in the YESD bus guidelines.

DAY 2: THON THA – LUNG VAI – HA THANH – THON THA

P1240782.JPGYou’ll start the day at about 8AM with a local breakfast and get to meet your local guide. The trek will then commence, heading through terraced rice fields and Tay villages, where you will meet and talk with locals. When you arrive at Lùng Vai village of the Coin Dao people you’ll have a picnic lunch (or if possible, join a Dao family for a meal). After a break, you will then trek to Ha Thanh village, famous for its waterfall. You’ll then finish this trekking loop back at the homestay in Thon Tha Village where you will again enjoy dinner with your hosts.

DAY 3: THON THA – HEAVENS GATE – FAIRY BREAST MOUNTAIN- LUNG KHUY CAVE – LUNG TAM COOPERATIVE – THON THA

Webp.net-resizeimage (7)Our guide will pick you up at your homestay in Ha Giang at 8am. The journey today is about 100km through the land known as “Heaven on Earth”. You’ll ride through vast agricultural landscapes and beautiful mountain scenery. On the way, you’ll pass by a number of villages where you will learn about the different ethnic cultures. The tour will take you past Heaven’s Gate, the famous Fairy Breast Mountains and the Dong Van plateau. You’ll stop in for lunch in Quan Ba and then hop to your bike and start your discovery of Lung Tam women weaving co-operative to see step-by-step process of making clothing from hemp. You will then continue your journey to visit the recently opened Lung Khuy Cave. To access this beautiful cave requires a short 40-minute trek. After that, heading back to Ha Giang. Our guide will drop you off at your homestay – arriving at about 5.30 PM.
